PURPLE HEART CITY

In an effort make Stamford a Purple Heart City, the City, Stamford Veterans Council and the Veterans Park Partnership is trying to collect names of those Stamford residents who have received a Purple Heart medal.

If any of you have received a Purple Heart medal or know of a fellow veteran who has earned one, please let me know so we can start the process of collecting names.

We envision a ceremony where we can recognize those recipients who are still with us and/or families of those who are deceased and be officially declared a Purple Heart City.

We are also partnering with the Veterans' Park Partnership to gather information about Stamford's Veterans for their Veterans History Project.
